Balloons in Church
This last Sunday, we couldn't find Anneliese's regular white shoes for church and she chose her clear sandals- with very hard soles that make such a wonderful "hey, look who's unsuccessfully trying to sneak into the back of church!" sound. Little did I know that that would be the least of the "3 guesses where the John's are sitting and the first two don't count" moments that hour. The funniest involved a balloon Liesie had grabbed from the car. She would get mad whenever Perry blew it up and started to tie it. She would pretzel her arms while telling him not to tie it. What really made our neighbours behind us laugh was when, being the obedient dad and not tying the balloon, Perry handed the balloon to Liesie. It promptly deflated, causing her to tell him to "not turn it off! Turn it on!"
